A miniature Columbia River Gorge right in the heart of Camas. Check this park out for huge rocky cliffs, impressive waterfalls, and a scenic lake perfect for picnicking - or running.
This trail is a great option for people who want to escape the city, without actually leaving. Lacamas Park is located right downtown Camas, Washington and offers over six miles of dirt trails popular for cyclists, pedestrians, and runners.
Park off of 3rd avenue at the Lacamas Creek Trailhead to begin this run. The first 0.7 miles is an easy up-and-down before you hit the McEnry Bridge. Turn right and follow the trail up a few hundred feet until you hit the Access Road, where you'll turn right again towards the Round Lake Loop Trail. Complete a full circumnavigation of the lake along the trail, crossing the Round Lake Dam, and return the way you came.

Run the Round Lake Loop at Lacamas Park Reviews
It’s nice for a good run but there’s not really any special views. Don’t worry about it though if you’re tryna get some exercise in.

Lacamas is my favorite trail in Washington, so far! It has waterfalls, giant, moss and ivy-covered trees, and many side trails that can be difficult, but they lead to exciting things, such as a giant fallen tree you can use as a bridge to get to a beautiful and private waterfall! 10-10!

Not a wilderness trail run but great trail running for a local trail.

I live in Rhododendron near Mt. Hood. I am used it seemingly untouched forest and trails. Not so much parks with maintained trails. But that being said this place was worth the 1 hour and 20 minute drive. This place is very scenic despite being a park near the city. I would highly recommend a visit. It had both the easy trails great for a jog as well as the cool cliff sides and wild rivers leaving the lake. I look forward to going back and exploring more. This place seems endless with places to explore
