Swim at Avlemonas
Avlemonas, Greece
Description
Added by Andreas Brokalakis
Dive to turquoise waters in an amazing landscape
Avlemonas is a small fishing village in the island of Kythira. The picturesque village with the white houses is built around a small inlet of the sea in the rocks that forms a kinda of natural sea pool. The waters are amazing, turquoise and crystal clear and because of the inlet the are always calm as they are protected from the winds.
There is no actual beach per se, but there is a stone trail around the rocks of the inlet. In multiple points there are small steps that lead you to the water or are points where you may dive. The waters are deep enough to let you enjoy your dive.
All around the scenery is pretty picturesque with white houses and colorful flowers. There are a couple of cafes, two restaurants and a mini market. There are also a lot of rooms and small guesthouses where you may stay.
