The wetlands of The Nature Conservancy's Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve are a unique system of salt and fresh water marshes, ponds, pools, sloughs and mudflats. It is a rich feeding ground for tens of thousands of migrating birds, making this destination a birder's paradise.
Great for all skill levels, the preserve provides a 1.3 mile scenic boardwalk to observe the variety of wildlife that call this unique ecosystem home. Be sure to bring your camera and a pair of binoculars!

No matter what season I come to this beautiful preserve, there are always different species of birds to observe. Hawks, herons, owls, ducks, and pelicans—all can be seen along the boardwalk or from the observation tower. Great for all ages, skill levels, and seasons.
