Vibrant colors, hisotry, and phenomenal food

*Puerto Rico’s history is very interesting. Exploring Old San Juan is fun, informative, and full of culture.

*There are unlimited options for food in Old San Juan, I recommend trying Mofongo, which is made from a plantain. Find a rooftop bar to take it all in (and maybe have a mojito or two!).

*Take pictures of the buildings and streets. It’s hard to find colors like this anywhere else in America.

*Get coffee. There are tons of options for good coffee on this island!

*When you are ready for some coastal views and more history check out Castillo San Felipe del Morro.

*Or, head to the beach for a swim and sunset.

I am sure there are paid tours you can take of Old San Juan, but I think it’s better to just walk around and stop when you see things that interest you. Take the money you would spend on a tour and put it towards a meal or boat ride to a different island!
