When exploring all that Tennessee has to offer, it’s hard to ignore the fact it is home to more caves than any other state in America. So when picking one, of more than 10,000, to explore it is hard to go wrong. Forbidden Caverns happens to be one of the most popular spots and is only a few minutes’ drive from Tennessee’s biggest cities. The drive to the caverns is a beautiful journey through the valley of the LeConte range and English Mountain. The caverns are a great escape from the summer heat and offer a spectacular change in scenery from that mountains that surround you. At 58 degrees year round, you will find that you're not the only creature looking for a place to cool off. The caverns are home to American brown bats, unique cave spiders, salamanders and frogs.

This is a great place for a guided cave tour. It feels great in the summer because the temp stays in the 60s year round.

Nice little excursion especially in the summer when it's hot. Lived 5 min from there so was a quick drive up the road. It's a guided tour and popular stop for tourist.
