Visit this charming riverside road for a scenic walk, run, or cycle to one of Lake Oswego's premier parks.
Portland and its surrounding suburbs are filled with trails and hidden treasures, including this stretch along the Willamette River. This road is a super popular pedestrian path and can be accessed from West Linn, the Mary's Woods and Marylhurst Development, or from Lake Oswego off of Highway 43.
The route described here begins in the Riverwood district of West Linn, near Cedaroak Park Primary School. Start at the end of Old River Road where it intersects with Kenthorpe Way. There's easy public parking in the lot behind the church there, which also doubles as a park & ride on weekdays. From here, you can follow Old River Road all the way down to the entrance of George Rogers Park. Cruise through the park for about a half mile before you reach the parking area and turn right to take the stairs down to the beach.
This path is wide and shaded, friendly for dogs and wheelchairs, and is sure to be crowded on sunny summer days. For folks from the southern suburbs of Portland looking for their next local adventure - you've found it.

Run Old River Road to George Rogers Park Reviews
I kept thinking this is only 2 and some change miles there and back and it was! Parked in West Linn will probably park in the LO side next time as the slow uphill felt endless even for a runner who loves hill climbs.
