Mother's Beach, known locally as Mom's Beach, is located in Forestville, California. This beach is a hidden gem situated on the scenic Russian River, between Steelhead Beach and Sunset Beach.

Dog Friendly:

Mom's Beach is a great spot to bring your pup on a leash.

Times of Operation:

The beach is open year-round from 7 am to sunset, but the bathrooms are only open May through November.

Activities:

Mom's Beach is a great place for splashing in the water, taking out a canoe or kayak, or simply soaking up the sun. It's important to note, there is NO lifeguard on duty here.

Mom's Beach was a great afternoon stop in Forestville. The beach is gravel with a little bit of sand close to the water. The water was decently warm for 6pm in August. My almost 3-year old was able to walk out ab9ut 25 feet from the shoreline and still have her head above water. Added bonus is a trip into downtown for pizza at Sonoma Pizza Co.
