Description

Whipple Creek Regional Park is a small hidden gem just north of Vancouver, WA off of I-5. It has several miles of nice trails that wander and intersect through the area. All trails are multi-use, including mountain bikers, hikers, horses and dogs.
Each trail is well maintained and easy to navigate through the area. All trails are either packed dirt or gravel depending on which trail you’re on. The Douglas-firs, hemlocks, ferns, Oregon grape and many other native tree and plant varieties grow in the area that make the area abound with wildlife. There is minimal elevation gain on all of the trails, making it a perfect family outing! While hiking on a sunny Saturday we saw four horses, a couple of families and several people with dogs. The trail can get muddy depending on the weather, so be prepared with gaiters or boots.
