Little-known day hike through alpine forests and meadows to a waterfall
The trail begins with an uphill on gravel through the forest, with the Sintersbach river to your left. The trail is shaded until it reaches the Sintersbacher waterfall. There is a bridge which will take you to the other side of the river, where the trail continues uphill for another 20 minutes in an alpine meadow before reaching Wildalm, a hut where you can enjoy Austrian alpine specialties, homemade cakes and an ice cold beer. This is the halfway point. The trail is well marked with yellow signs; follow the ones for Hansler and Schradl-Parkplatz / Parkplatz Schradlern to return to the trailhead.
Free parking is available at Schradl-Parkplatz, in the town of Jochberg.
