Description
Added by Outbound
A scenic canyon hike that takes you both along the rim and down into the canyon.
The trail starts along Hickory Ridge, the southern rim of the canyon. Continue on the trail as it begins to descend into the canyon, following the white diamond markers – you can make a quick stop off along a side path, which leads to some scenic river views. When you reach a stone staircase in the trail, be cautious as it can be slippery. The stairs will take you back up to the parking lot.

Hike the Little Grand Canyon Trail Reviews
One of the highlights of the Shawnee National Forest. This trail is a must stop if you are in the area. Best time of year imo is during the fall and winter or after a rainstorm so seasonal waterfalls are in view.

Great hike albeit challenging. When they say difficult- it is. You climb down a waterfall to get to the valley with spectacular rock formations. Guess what? You climb another waterfall to get back to trailhead. Still highly recommended
