Hidden Valley Nature Trail is an easy 1 mile loop gives you stunning views of the beautiful rock formations and Joshua Trees which the park is so well known for.
Turn off of Park Blvd near Intersection Rock (there will be signs for the turn) and follow the paved road for about a minute. There is a large parking lot with many picnic tables.
The trail begins with a slight uphill of around 100 ft and continues through a opening between two large rocks. After this opening the trail comes into a wide valley. This loop can be done in either direction, so from here you can chose to go left or right. While there are both directional and informational signs along the trail it is very easy to lose the trail so make sure to keep an eye out for the next sign. If you do get lost, don't worry, there are lots of people in the area and it is not difficult to find your way back to the trail. Once you reach the point where the path diverges, make sure to turn back the way you came through the opening in the rocks and continue down to the parking lot.
This trail can be done as quickly or as slowly you want! There are many places to stop along the way to observe vegetation and climb some of the rock formations. This is a really great hike that can be done by any visitors as it's mostly flat and encompasses some of the best features of the park!

Quick and easy trail to introduce any newcomer to JT. Great trail for kiddos to hike.

It's an easy loop with amazing plants and animals like yuccas and Joshua trees that gives you a taste of the desert ecosystem. One of my favorite boulders to climb is on the western side in which you can easily climb to the top and get a great view of the surrounding area.

This is more of a walking trail then a hike but it is none the less beautiful! Lots of rocks to hop over and lots of the beautiful park to see.

Lots of rocks to climb on and interesting desert. Trail is easy to walk and has cute placards to describe the flora and fauna.
