Hike on this amazing trail with wildlife in every corner, exploring the beautiful marshy area! You're likely to see crocodiles and other creatures from a safe distance.
The trail on the boardwalk is about a mile but you also have the option to walk the full hike which is 6.8 miles. It almost completely flat the whole time and its one of my favorite places to go near New Orleans. There's also free guided walks available as well with groups so you can learn more about the area. I started out in the guided group and then went adventuring out past where the group goes. It's great for families at all paces and the longer option makes it fun for people who want to go on longer hikes or trail runs.
We saw some frogs and crocodiles while we were there! Keep a look out and you'll probably see some too!
