Pulpit Rock is a hidden gem in the Colorado Springs area. The park is a network of a various small trails, with the highlight being the climb to the Pulpit Rock ridge line. The top provides beautiful views Downtown Colorado Springs, the surrounding City, and Pikes Peak.
Heading South on N. Nevada Blvd. you will pass a Harley Davidson dealership on your left, about a mile after that there is a large parking lot for Pulpit Rock Park. Once you park, there is a clearly marked trailhead that will get you on your way! There are various trails you can take to get the top of Pulpit Rock, some of which will take you in a loop if you choose, or you can go out and back. The hike to the top of Pulpit is about a mile from the parking lot (the loop ending up being about 4 miles). Its a pretty easy hike great for all ages and skill levels.

Pulpit Rock Reviews
A nice area to go walk around for an hour or two. The trails are all interconnecting but you can make it around to the top fairly easily. If you want to do some minor scrambling you can do that too.

Nice short hike for a beautiful view. My dog and I did this the morning of our drive home from a 4-day hiking trip. Definitely a good last minute stop with some great photo opportunities when the sun comes up!

The hike is easy, took less than 25 minutes to get to the top. And the views of the city are beautiful!

Some of the side trails are pretty uphill, but the main trails are insanely easy. it's fun to climb on the rocks and the views are awesome. all in all the hike is pretty rewarding.

Not only are the views of the city and Pikes Peak top notch from Pulpit Rock, but the neighboring Austin Bluffs Open Space is also a great place to play and explore, whether running, hiking with dogs/kids, or mountain biking! It is an extremely under-utilized area, so you avoid crowds, but the trail maintenance in areas is often lacking (erosion, overgrowth).
