A beginner-friendly hike takes you to the spectacular Toccoa Falls.

Park at the welcome center of Toccoa College.

The trailhead is behind the welcome center, starting at the gates to the right of the center. The trail takes you along a creek on a gravel trail. After a short distance, you will reach Toccoa Falls, where the water pours off the rocks from over 180 feet high in a free-fall to a pool below.

There are also beautiful butterflies that are often flying around the flowers that line the trails during spring and summer. They are a great photographing opportunity as well.

it’s really a beautiful waterfall, but there is a fee to get to it. it’s inside of a college, and there is literally no hike. its just a gravel trail for about 5 mins and then you get to the waterfall. my friends and i swam in it and climbed the rocks surrounding it. its not what i expected but i wasnt too disappointed.

This is a nice spot to get an unobstructed view of a beautiful waterfall. No hiking and not much exploring. I ventured off into the woods a little bit, but could not go very far. Would not go out of your way to see this waterfall (especially because there is a fee), but a nice stop to bring your non-adventurous family to see.

The Falls are cool, but there is a fee to see them and there is no hike. They also do not let you swim or wade in the water. You can take your dogs, but must stay on a leash. Cool if you have time to burn, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

It's tough to get a true sense of scale until you're standing near the bottom of this 180 foot waterfall! I've heard that the massive boulder that sits to the left at the base of the falls came plummeting over the top with powerful floodwaters after an upstream dam broke back in the 1970s.
