From a beginner stroll in Andreas Canyon to an all-day adventure, there's something for everyone at this desert oasis.
Andreas Canyon in Indian Canyons is located very close to Palm Springs in the Agua Caliente band of Cahuilla Indians Reservation. It is one of the few places with abundant shade and running fresh water in an otherwise dry desert landscape. Enjoy a longer hike to a waterfall (Seven Falls) or stay walking along the stream and relax under the shade of the massive palms. This unique location has a variety of well-marked trails of varying lengths and easy parking is available. There is an entrance fee to Indian Canyons (and it may be slightly cheaper when pre-purchased from the visitors center in Palm Springs).
The gates close earlier in the day, even in the summer months so be sure to arrive early and bring lots of water to stay hydrated in this harsh climate.
