Heads up! There's construction going on at the eastern part of the trail and the main parking lot is closed. But don't worry, you can still get to the trail from the west entrance turning this hike into an out-and-back. For the latest updates, check out the Oregon State Parks website: https://stateparks.oregon.gov/...;
Take a short walk to the base of Latourell Falls, where there is a small pool, so you can get up very close. If you want to stretch your legs, take the 2-mile loop outlined in the GPX below to reach the top of Latourell Falls.
Latourell Falls is a beautiful and unique waterfall in the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. Many people stop to see nearby Multnomah Falls, but this waterfall is a can't miss as well. This amazing waterfall is just a few hundred yards from the road and parking lot. Once you park, there is a viewpoint for the falls that is straight ahead.
The view from there isn't that great compared to what you will find if you take the short trail that starts near the bridge and goes to the base of the falls. The trail is really short, only a few hundred yards. You can do some exploring once you reach the falls and go behind the falls if you wish. Latourell Falls has an unusually small pool that it drops into so you can actually walk right up to the edge of the falls for an epic photo op. Be warned though, you will get soaked.

Latourell Falls Loop Reviews
We were looking for a quick stop for good pictures on our way out to Oregon, and this was perfect one for quick and skipping crowds. I would have loved to to the hike, but we didn’t have time! We went late November, it was a bit cold but very work it. We hopped off trail to take pictures and go on the other side of the waterfall. Epic for a small walk and less people to deal with!

Great 2.4 mile loop. Great way to cool off under the falls mist.

This hike is pretty short but does not disappoint. There’s a lower and upper. The lower is easy to get too, the upper is about 20 minutes away. I got there early and there was a few people but nothing excessive. Great hike and really recommend it!

Great waterfall with not too many people during weekdays. You can go down a short trail to the lower waterfall or hike up a couple mile loop to the upper waterfall. Easy, short trails, bring waterproof clothes if you plan on standing close to the waterfalls.

I wouldn’t really call it a hike unless you’re hiking all the way up to the top of the falls. But either way it’s absolutely worth a stop! Very pretty and unique. Family friendly!

We've been going here for years! After (or before) seeing my favorite spot in the world-Crown Point vista house, we always stop here! Great smaller falls, super photo ops (and selfies with the falls of course for the younger crowd). You can go down under it if you dare, but the kids and pups usually play in the smaller stream it creates farther down. Dog and family friendly! Walk a little down the path to see a great big bridge (that you walk by on your way down to the falls) and a grassy park with picnic tables and water!
