Steep Ravine Cabins
Stinson Beach, California
Description
Added by Joshua Contois
Steep Ravine Environmental Campground is home to 9 Rustic cabins sitting on the coastline just south of Stinson Beach as well as tent camping campsites. Enjoy amazing sunsets from the comfort of your cabin's porch. These cabins accommodate 5 people and offers up 1 parking space for $100 per night. Book here.
Although these cabins are bare bones, lacking both water and electricity, they couldn't put you in a better spot for views of the Pacific Ocean. From your cabin, you can enjoy amazing sunsets, possibly whale watching, and access to trails like the cabin's namesake, Steep Ravine Trail.
The cabins are close to the parking lot and restrooms (clean but no showers). To access the parking area, you need to receive the code from the rangers, which you can get once you've made a reservation. The cabin interiors include a built-in table and benches, sleeping platforms (the equivalent of two doubles, one twin, and one child), counter space for food preparation, a wood-burning stove, and a small closet. Firewood for the stove is sold on-site; you'll need to bring your sleeping bag, air mattress, camping stove, cooking gear, lantern, and other supplies. The windows have no coverings but have clips to hang a curtain or sheet if you want privacy.
With the cabins' proximity to Stinson Beach, you can run into town for supplies or a quick bite. If you're looking to get a night away from the camp stove, head south for 15 minutes to Pelican Inn for upscale pub food.

Steep Ravine Cabins Reviews
The views are awesome and the cabins are pretty roomy. You'll have a great time here as long as you remember to bring your sleeping pad. The beds are just wooden platforms.
