Lava Point is free, first come first served camping in Zion. This is a great spot if zion is full.

Didn't make a reservation? Are all the Zion campgrounds full as usual? Don't worry, the less popular and more secluded Lava Point Campground is just about a 45 minute drive away and it's free! We camped here because we rolled in late at night to Zion National Park and everything was full. It turned out to be an awesome experience and we had an amazing view of the sunrise. I would definitely come back here again! It is first come first serve, so it does still fill up sometimes.
