Hiking trails, scenic viewpoints, camping, and even a bit of climbing can be found as you bump up the Pacific coastline through the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Muir Woods National Monument, and Mount Tamalpais State Park.
North of Mt Tamalpais lies the Point Reyes National Seashore, with its alluring mix of wild coastline, grassy headlands, and, in the town of Point Reyes Station, some of the best farm to table food and wine you'll find anywhere in the country.
